Dead or alive

Thursday night Dakota got asked to her very first prom. So fun, and so sad for the mom! She received a really cute fish bowl of 3 live fish and a clever poem in the asking. It was very creative and fun. She was super excited.

Friday also started out exciting, but not in the same fun way. Around 6:00 am, "mom, my fish are DEAD!! "Oh Dakota," I consoled, "that isn't a very good sign." We are wondering if her biological clock is off two weeks and thinks that this might be Friday the 13th.

Then finally good news, the asking prince had the fish receipt. You know if you keep your receipt you can return almost anything to Wal-mart and by chance fish are no different they will reward you with a new live fish for upto 90 days.

So, now this story becomes quit upbeat, as the asking prince and the wanna-be princess take the 3 deceased fish along with the reciept to the local Wal-mart. After leaving the poor deceased in their final resting place( a ziploc baggie) with the mortified service clerk they return not only with 3 live fish but a frog to boot!!
